The History

History History History
Al Calmiere - A 33-year history The restaurant was born as an inn for wine pouring in 1919, therefore it represents one of the historic places of Verona.
In 1987 Pietro and Morena thought that in Verona, especially in Piazza San Zeno, there was a lack of a place that could offer cuisine in the Veronese tradition: thus the new Al Calmiere was born, renovated and regenerated in the kitchen and in every detail.

The large fireplace was built in the great room and the proposal was: trolley of boiled meats, first courses of homemade pasta and grilled meats.

The History

History History History
Baraldi - The surname of a Veronese family that decided to open up a small wineshop in a little neighbourhood in Verona, now have the best shop around.
Franco and Nadia Baraldi decided to sell their wine shop to then open up something a bit bigger which turned out to be a Bistrot/Wine shop. The whole family was involved - especially their son Bruno Baraldi.

An osteria in the center of Verona, a stones throw from Piazza Brà, is one of the most historic establishments in the city which finds new life thanks to the work of two young managers who have renovated it without denying its ancient vocation.
When it's closed, people say that it looks like a hole in the wall, but when the sun sets, it transforms to exactly what you would expect an Italian bar to be.
P.S. - You have to try their specialty, 'Mandorlino'.
